Climbing in Spain😊 (In search of Neanderthals)

In the half term holiday I went to Spain for some awesome climbing in Lleida!
I managed lots of on-sights and found myself some projects too😄
Here's a video on one of my projects: Meneo Canario, 7b ➡️http://youtu.be/IfqDhAdR0BU ⬅️ I was so pleased!☺️

A successful start to a new comp season

I thought it was a good time to do a blog as I have just competed in the first BMC Open Youth of the 2015 season. This was also my first comp in Youth B for as I have just moved up out of C.
I traveled down to Sheffield on the Friday night after helping my Dad with a climbing club after school. We stayed in a Premier Inn as per usual😂 We found our room, I went straight to sleep "out like a light"! In the morning after breakfast I drove to Awesome Walls, ready for the comp😊 When I got into the wall I found my routes and also the youth A and junior girls as well (yep, I had the same routes as them!) I was pretty excited about the routes but nervous as it looked like I could come off if I didn't concentrate. My first route was a crimpy and powerful route with quite a big rock-over at the top. The second qualifier was a fun steeper route with big moves to bad holds, just my style! I managed to qualify for finals in 1st place which was a suprise and meant I would climb the final route last.
Finals went ok, not quite as well as I would have liked but I still managed to hold onto 2nd place, which is a fantastic result for me in my first Youth B competition.
I received the news today that I have been selected for the 2015 national team which is so exciting as this year I will hopefully get to compete internationally 😆 Amazing!
